Max demonstrating his great E Dan Yup Cha Ki

It’s always a great day when I get to sit down and talk with a fantastic martial arts student, Maxwell Castillo is just that. He’s quiet, confident and capable.  There are those in life who talk and there are those who perform.  Max is in the mix with the latter.  While taking a few minutes out of his training time to answer a few questions, he never missed a beat and gives that same attitude while training.  He was mentioned as this months Student of the Month first for good reason,  the focus and patience he demonstrated while working with me was incredible.  That deep horse stance (left) he’s holding was held for quite sometime while I snapped photos. Not a flinch from Max.  Again, his training in class mirrors this display of character, continually working hard, while not being overly ambitious.  At six years of age, Max has already competed in a martial arts competition, the Allied Gardens Tang Soo Do Karate Academy hosted Region #20 2012 Region Championships.  That feat alone is already a great accomplishment for a young martial artist.  Holding strong to his character and training, Mr. Castillo will make a great black belt.
